Lady Imps crash out of League Cup

Lincoln Ladies badge

Lincoln Ladies are out of the Women's Premier League Cup after suffering a 3-2 defeat by Watford.

After going 2-0 down, Leandra Little and Carla Ward levelled the score, only to be denied a quarter-final place by Jodian Clarke's 90th-minute winner.

Lincoln assistant manager Sam Willett said: "I thought we played well and were unlucky to lose.

"We need to bounce back and put in a really big performance against Leicester in the league on Wednesday."
