Manager Rick Passmore believes Leeds United Ladies will become stronger for their FA Cup Final defeat to Arsenal.

Leeds' young side held Arsenal at the City Ground until the 53rd minute before eventually losing 4-1.

"The game got to some of our younger players and they lost their legs," Passmore told BBC Radio Leeds.

"They have to look at the likes of Kelly Smith and say 'I'm going to be better than you next time'. They have to aim high and achieve that.

Leeds are currently third in the Premier League, and if they secure that position it will be their highest-ever league finish.

The West Yorkshire club have also reached three major finals in consecutive seasons, losing all three to Arsenal.

I believe we'll be back in plenty more finals

Rick Passmore

"Arsenal are a beacon to everyone and every club should strive both on and off the park to hit their standards," added Passmore.

"We are making great a strides forward and I feel as the young members of our squad gain more experience we'll get much better.

"I believe we'll be back in plenty more finals."
