Signeul wants more from Scotland

Scotland striker Julie Fleeting
Captain Julie Fleeting missed the match through injury

Scotland coach Anna Signeul says her side need to find the killer instinct after squandering chances galore in Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Belgium.

"We created many chances in the opening minutes of the game, which we really need to capitalise on," she said after the match in Tienen.

"But any victory at this level is a good one and we deserved to win."

The Scots did that thanks to an own goal from Belgian captain Annelies Timmermans six minutes from the end.

Timmermans deflected in a cross from substitute Jennifer Beattie.

The match was a warm-up ahead of Scotland's Uefa qualifiers against Denmark, Portugal and Ukraine.

And, with the lack of goals, Signeul will be hoping that Arsenal striker Julie Fleeting will recover from the foot injury that forced the Scotland captain to miss the trip to Belgium.

The Scots face Denmark on 27 April and Portugal on 3 May before Ukraine visit Perth.
