Arsenal Women's team hit by theft
By Tony Leighton

Women's football

Arsenal Women's Premier League match against Watford had to be abandoned after a number of personal possessions were stolen from their dressing-room.

Cash, credit cards, passports and car keys were stolen and with the start of the second-half badly delayed the game was called off with the score at 0-0.

Their Borehamwood ground floodlights have to be turned off at 2145 BST.

"We called in the police and have notified the Football Association," said a Gunners spokeswoman.

"Watford were very understanding though, and hopefully we'll be able to re-schedule the match as soon as possible."

Arsenal 0-0 Watford - match abandoned at half-time

Doncaster Rovers Belles 1-2 Everton

An early penalty by midfielder Fara Williams and goal midway through the first half by striker Natasha Dowie set Everton up for victory in only their third League game to date.

Donny fought back gamely but were unable to breach the Merseysiders' defence until stoppage time, when Veronica Cantoro drilled home a spectacular long-range free-kick.

A second League defeat in four days left the Belles pinned in the relegation places with just four points from five games.

Chelsea 4-0 Charlton Athletic

Charlton are still without a point or a goal after suffering a fifth defeat in as many matches and seeing their goals-against tally rise to 27.

They conceded only one goal in the first half, Sian Larkin opening the scoring seven minutes before the interval.

But Danielle Buet struck twice midway through the second period and Casey Stoney completed the scoring seven minutes from time.
