Powell impressed with Kent crowd
Gillingham's Priestfield Stadium
The attendance was higher than Gillingham's average home gate
England Women's coach Hope Powell was impressed after a crowd of 8,068 watched their 4-0 win over Austria at Gillingham's Priestfield Stadium.

Fara Williams, Sue Smith and Jody were on target, after an own goal by Sonja Spieler had put England ahead.

"The Kent people came out, and it was brilliant, especially with a lot of local girls in the team," Powell told BBC Radio Kent.

"They really got behind the girls - it was magnificent support."
