Denmark v England as it happened
Denmark scored two late goals to break England's hearts in their Group A Euro 2005 clash at Ewood Park.

Fara Williams put England ahead from the penalty spot after Rachel Yankey was brought down by Mariann Knudsen.

And England skipper Faye White almost increased the lead but flicked over from close range after a Yankey cross.

However, Merete Pedersen bent in a free-kick with 11 minutes left and Cathrine Paaske Sorensen scored with a free header two minutes from the end.

94 mins: The full-time whistle goes and English hearts are broken.

88 mins: GOAL. Sorensen scores with a free header after a deep cross from Rasmussen.

79 mins: GOAL. Merete Pedersen bends a free-kick into the top right-hand corner to equalise for Denmark.

78 mins: Fara Williams gets a booking for leaving her studs up on Merete Pedersen on the edge of the England box.

77 mins: Katie Chapman receives a yellow card.

76 mins: Merete Pedersen curls a free-kick onto the top of the England goal.

14 mins: Fara Williams releases Karen Carney in acres of space but the young striker trips over the ball.

7 mins: Kelly Smith takes down a throw-in, swivels and unleashes a left-foot shot just past the Danish post.

5 mins: Kelly Smith returns to the fray after treatment on the sidelines.

2 mins: Fara Williams takes the free-kick, which is deflected, and Katie Chapman flashes a shot wide.

1 min: Kelly Smith is brought down on the edge of the Denmark area and has to be led from the field.

1600BST: England kick-off against Denmark at Ewood Park.
