Uefa Cup round-up
Andriy Shevchenko

BBC Sport Online rounds-up the Uefa Cup third round first leg action.

Daniel Passarella was denied a win in his first European game in charge of Italian club Parma courtesy of Brondby's injury-time penalty equaliser in the 1-1 draw.

Parma had taken the lead in the opening seconds of the game when Sabri Lamouchi's shot was deflected by Dan Anton Johansen past his own goalkeeper.

But Danish team Brondby levelled when Peter Madsen's header was handled on the line by Parma's Junior.

Junior was sent-off as a result and Crister Nordin scored from the spot.

Jan Koller
Koller was sent-off for Dortmund

German side Borussia Dortmund also benifitted from a late goal in their 1-0 victory against FC Copenhagen.

Both side were reduced to 10 men when the home side's Christian Poulsen and Dortmund's Jan Koller were sent-off after a nasty clash.

Heiko Herrlich's hand-ball then gifted Danish side Copenhagen a penalty only for Jacob Laursen to shoot high from the spot.

Ironically, Herrlich scored Dortmund's late winner.

"We played a poor match and we were lucky," said Dortmund coach Matthias Sammer.

AC Milan had two expert finishes in front of goal to thank for their 2-0 win over Portugal'sSporting Lisbon.

Firstly, Ukranian striker Andrei Shevchenko collected Demtrio Albertini's pass before scoring with a delicate chip.

Fellow forward Filippo Inzaghi added Milan's second when he converted Brazilian Serghino's cross.

Greek side PAOK Salonika earned a surprise 3-2 win against Dutch opponents PSV Eindhoven.

PAOK went behind to John de Jong's header but came back to lead 3-1 with Ifeani Udeze's goal sandwiched by a brace from Yiasemis Yiasemakis.

But PSV's Arnold Bruggink headed in a late effort for the visitors to set up a tense second leg.

Elsewhere Lille had Dagui Bakari's first-half strike to thank for a win against troubled outfit Fiorentina.

Slovan Liberec won 3-1 with Petr Lukas, Petr Johana and Roman Jun scoring for the Czech Republic side against Spaniards Real Mallorca, whose Leonardo Biagini gave them an away goal.

The match between Servette and Hertha Berlin ended goalless while Club Bruge thumped Olympique Lyon 4-1.

AEK Athens went 3-0 up against Litecks Lovetch before being pulled back to 3-2.

Feyenoord's Shinji Ono got their winner in the 1-0 win against SC Freiburg.

In the ties played on Tuesday, Paulo Miranda scored his first goal in a European Cup competition as Girondins Bordeaux clinched a 1-0 win over Roda JC Kerkrade.

In Israel, an 89th minute goal from Assi Domb gave Hapoel Tel Aviv a 2-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow.

Domb pounced to score from close range at a corner to snatch the victory over Lokomotiv who had defender Igor Cherevchenko sent off in injury time for a foul on Ilan Bachar.

Hapoel took the lead in the 42nd minute when Bachar ran down the right and crossed the ball for Milan Osterc to head home.

The Russians equalised through Marat Izmailov and, even though Hapoel's captain Shimon Gershon had a penalty saved, Domb secured the win.
