O'Leary relieved to progress
Leeds boss David O'Leary instructs his team in the game against Man Utd
Leeds boss David O'Leary was "very worried"
Leeds boss David O'Learysaid he was a relieved man following his side's dramatic Uefa Cup second-round escape against Troyes.

"It was a difficult match," said O'Leary.

"But I am absolutely delighted because it's all about being in the next round.

"I am looking forward to a nice draw."

After winning the first leg 4-2, Leeds slipped to 3-1 down and with just 13 minutes remaining.

The Elland Road club were staring elimination in the face because of the away goals rule.

I was a very worried man when they were leading 3-1

But Robbie Keane's seventh goal of the season guaranteed Leeds' a 6-5 aggregate win and a place in the hat for Friday's third round draw.

"I told people from the start just what Troyes were like.

"They might not be a 'big name' club, but they are a team which work very hard for one another. "I admit my heart was in my mouth, but we are a side which is always capable of scoring goals and that's what we did.

"To be honest we should have finished the play-off at Elland Road, but we didn't and Troyes have to be given credit for pushing us all the way."

Troyes were left ruing Patrice Loko's miss just after the hour.

Loko only had Martyn to beat to make it 4-1, but he somehow fired his shot over the crossbar.

I think Leeds underestimated us
Troyes coach Alain Perrin

Troyes coach Alain Perrin described Leeds as "lucky".

"At 3-1 I did not think we were through and that's why I urged my team to go on and score a fourth," he said.

"The game hinged on Patrice's miss. He was unlucky because the ball hit a divot just as he was about to strike it, and he is devastated.

"We were always aware Leeds have the capability of scoring at anytime, although I think tonight they were lucky.

"I reckon this will serve as a wake up call to Leeds.

"I think we surprised them and I think they underestimated us, but I still feel they can go on and win the competition."
