Foyle will see his side in a friendly at North Ferriby United on Tuesday
York City manager Martin Foyle is still working behind the scenes to complete his squad for the new season.
Foyle has said he wants to bring in another one or two players, including a forward, and that talks are ongoing.
He told BBC Radio York: "It's close. I think we've learned from the last time but there are one or two things that are going on.
"It's been my busiest pre-season. It doesn't feel like I've had a holiday but it was such a big job to do."
Foyle will look again at a number of trialists in this weekend's friendly against Bradford City at Kitkat Crescent.
"I've chased loads of players and I've invited loads of players in through the pre-season," he added.
"I want everybody playing 45 minutes this weekend and after that we'll take stock when it comes to Tuesday. I'll then be looking for people to play 90 minute games.
"The attitude of the trialists that have come in has been absolutely excellent so everything has been bubbly and positive."
