Wembley best in world - Parslow

York City captain Daniel Parslow says it will be a privilege to lead out the team in Saturday's FA Trophy final at Wembley (9 May, 1400 BST).

Parslow told BBC Radio York: "It's the best stadium in the world. It's going to really lift the players.

"You'd play here every year if you could. And to lead out the team as well is going to be a great privilege.

"The Trophy is a great chance to get to Wembley and, after falling at the final hurdle last year, we've made it."

It is actually third time lucky for York (and Parslow) after losing in the Trophy semis a year ago to Torquay and suffering defeat to Morecambe in the play-off semi to miss Wembley in 2007.

And the York skipper, who has already made an acclimatisation visit to the stadium, is determined to make the most of this chance.

"To fall at the final hurdle twice was tough to take," he said, "because you know that what is at stake. The chance to play at the best stadium in the world.

"So it is sweet to get here third time round and it's going to be amazing.

"To come back and get another chance to do it is fortunate really because you don't get many opportunities to do this. It's going to be a great day and everyone is raring to go.

"We're looking forward to little things like the massive changing rooms and not being cooped up and trampling on each other in our little dressing room.

"My family from South Wales will be coming up the M4. And all my new family I've met up in York will be down as well.

"To be at Wembley with all the people that matter, your friends and family and for all the supporters to come down from York, we hope we'll give them a great day out and win the trophy."
