York sign Critchell from Wrexham

Critchell only joined Wrexham less than a year ago

Wrexham defender Kyle Critchell has joined Blue Square Premier rivals York City in a month-long loan deal.

The former Wales Under-21 international has just returned from injury after four-and-a-half months out with an ankle problem.

"I'm fully fit and ready to play but match fitness is a very different thing," said full-back Critchell.

"I realise that my opportunities here are limited at the moment because the side is playing so well."

Former Southampton trainee Critchell had moved to Wrexham from Weymouth in June.
