York City have finally completed the signing of former Queen of the South captain Steve Bowey.
Midfielder Bowey, 31, has agreed a deal with York after reaching the end of his contract at Palmerston Park.
The Minstermen had initially played down reports that he was set to join them - but he has now signed.
Born in Durham, he previously served Forest Green Rovers, Bristol Rovers and Gateshead, before moving to Queen of the South in February 2002.
