Defender Dave Merris has signed a new contract with York City.
The 24-year-old is the fifth of six players offered professional deals in April to put pen to paper. Only injured keeper David Stockdale is yet to sign.
City boss Billy McEwan told the York Evening Press: "Dave is a 100% player and you know what you are getting out if him. He has a great attitude.
"He is a big favourite with fans because of his never-say-die approach and commitment to the club."
Stockdale will miss most of pre-season after breaking a metatarsal bone in his foot.
The 19-year-old was injured while exercising at home and will be sidelined for several weeks.
