Minstermen to keep Hope
York defender Richard Hope has agreed a new deal to stay with the Minstermen, despite relegation to the Conference.

The 25-year-old former Darlington and Northampton centre-back is to sign a two-year contract.

Player-boss Chris Brass is also keeping wing-back Dave Merris at Bootham Crescent on a new 12-month deal.

However, strikers Liam George and Andy Bell and defender Leigh Wood will join the exodus from York, with 11 players having been released by Brass.
