Yeovil Town plan to maintain the Bristol City link

Yeovil Town are hoping to maintain their healthy relationship with west country neighbours Bristol City.

Manager Terry Skiverton has not yet spoken to new City boss Steve Coppell but the clubs meet in a pre-season friendly on 28 July.

"That will be a good chance to talk to him," Skiverton told BBC Somerset.

"I speak to Keith Millen [Coppell's assistant] quite a bit. He's been fantastic in extending Gavin Williams' loan to the end of the season."

Midfielder Williams proved a big hit with supporters during his loan spell, scoring five goals in eight games as Yeovil secured their League One status.

He won a League Two championship medal with Yeovil in 2005 before Gary Johnson took him to City in June, 2008.
