Reading keeper Alex McCarthy extends loan at Yeovil
Yeovil Town's on-loan goalkeeper Alex McCarthy has extended his stay at Huish Park by a further month.
The 20-year-old joined the Glovers in July from Championship side Reading and has been in great form for Terry Skiverton's side.
"Alex will be staying another month and the paperwork should be going through today," Skiverton told BBC Somerset.
"That's the way Reading want it and we're happy to do it. I'm in constant dialogue with them."
Skiverton continued: "Fingers crossed I'll get plenty of notice when the time comes that Alex does get called back, if indeed he does get called back this season."
And Skiverton also says he has funds to boost his squad before the transfer window ends.
"I'm not looking for a young lad, I'm looking for someone with experience," he said.
"He's got to be the right kind of player, the right kind of person and the right kind of character to come into the squad.
