Skiverton feels Yeovil have to work harder than anyone else
Yeovil Town captain Terry Skiverton feels the club's financial situation means it is facing a difficult task to survive in League One.
Sitting 21st in the table, Yeovil look set to be involved in a relegation dogfight this season, competing with clubs that have greater resources.
Skiverton told BBC Radio Somerset: "I think the majority of fans do know that we are punching above our weight.
"In terms of budgets, it is not a level playing field."
He added: "We are playing teams like Leicester City and Leeds . Everything is stacked against us but that is what is got to make us stronger as team and a club."
However, Skiverton remains optimistic and has urged his players to show belief.
"I have had some fantastic highs at the club and has some near scrapes in staying in the league as well.
"At least it's exciting for where we are so far. As long as I've been here, we've either been pushing for a league or looking to avoid relegation.
"We have had two difficult games (Leicester and Peterborough) with teams that are right up there pushing.
"Now is the chance to play at home against Tranmere on Saturday and really get stuck in and get ourselves back on track."
