Yeovil impress Johnson

Yeovil manager Gary Johnson has been encouraged by his side's pre-season preparations.

The Conference side latest peformance saw them hold Latvian side Skonto Riga to a 2-2 draw, with Adam Stansfield and Adam Lockwood both on the scoresheet.

"It was a good test for us against a top team containing Latvian, Lithuanian, Georgian and Russian internationals," Johnson told the club's website.

"To produce that sort of performance against that sort of team is good for me and Yeovil Town."

Before taking over Yeovil, Johnson was the manager of the Latvian national team.
