Wycombe midfielder Matt Bloomfield is set to miss the opening game of the season against Cambridge after injuring his knee in the friendly with Charlton.
Bloomfield collided with team-mate Mike Williamson and twisted his knee when he caught his studs in the turf.
Wanderers boss Tony Adams said: "The loss of Matt is another big blow. We don't know how bad he is at the moment.
"He will not be out as long as Mark Philo but it is unlikely he will make the Cambridge game," he added.
