Former Tottenham assistant boss John Gorman has made a quick return to football after being named caretaker-manager of Second Division Wycombe.
Gorman left White Hart Lane following the dismissal of Glenn Hoddle last month and has taken over on a temporary basis at Wycombe, who sacked Lawrie Sanchez on Tuesday.
Gorman, who also worked alongside Hoddle for England and Southampton, will be in charge until 1 November and is a candidate for the full-time job.
His first game in charge will be at home to Plymouth on Saturday.
A statement on the club's official website said: "We are pleased to confirm that John Gorman has agreed to coach and look after
team affairs for one month, up to and including 1 November.
"John's help with training during this transitional period we trust will give the players and staff a lift.
"This short-term appointment will also give the club the opportunity and time to interview and consider their options, which will of course include John.
"John's experience with England, Southampton and Tottenham we hope will help us take a step forward and trust our supporters will get behind him and the team on Saturday."
