Allen has been a regular with the Wales Under-21 set up
Swansea City midfielder Joe Allen has joined Blue Square Premier side Wrexham on a month's loan.
The Wales Under-21 midfielder will team up with new Dragons manager and Wales number two Dean Saunders.
He signed for the north Wales club in time for York City's visit to the Racecourse on Tuesday.
"I'm looking forward to it," said the 18-year-old who has played once for the Swans this season. "It will be good to get some more game time under my belt."
He added: "I obviously know Dean Saunders from the Welsh set up.
"He's got the same philosophy as (Swans boss) Roberto Martinez in that he wants to play football the right way.
"He's got a good reputation in the game and has the utmost respect from the senior boys in the Welsh squad.
"He's also got a wealth of experience which hopefully I can tap into during my time at the Racecourse.''
Allen will also join up with the Welsh U21 squad for the first-leg of their Uefa Championship play-off against England on Friday.
