Little was pleased to give his squad a test in two games

Wrexham manager Brian Little had mixed emotions after contrasting friendly results against Welsh opposition.

The Dragons lost 2-1 to The New Saints on Saturday, and a different Wrexham XI beat Colwyn Bay 2-0 later in the day.

"There are pleasing things and problem areas but it has been worthwhile," the Wrexham boss told the club's website.

"We are still preparing for the new season and are not looking for perfection yet, rather fitness levels and trying to win a few games."
