Jones urges Dragons to stun Dons

Joey Jones
Jones says Wrexham are not dead and buried in their fight for survival

Coach Joey Jones says Wrexham can keep their league survival hopes alive by beating prmotion-chasing MK Dons on Tuesday.

The Dragons are seven points adrift of safety with just six games to go and they know nothing less than a win will do.

But despite their five-match winless run, Jones remains confident.

"It will make teams down the lower part of the table sit up and think we're not dead and buried yet," he said.

"MK Dons will be wanting to go for the championship so it might give us a bit of chance if they are pushing forward if we can catch them on the counter-attack.

"If you have enough belief and confidence in yourself and play well on the night then you have a chance.

"It's obviously important that we don't get beat because we have still got a chance of staying up and while there's a bit of hope you've got to cling on to that.

"We beat them at home when people didn't expect us to and I always been a believer than anybody can beat anybody else anyway."
