Chester 0-2 Wrexham

League Two

Wrexham pulled off a vital win in their battle against relegation against local rivals Chester at the Deva Stadium.

Paul Hall opened the scoring after 22 minutes firing home Michael Proctor's pass from 18-yards.

And it was Proctor who doubled the lead with 25 minutes left sending his right-foot shot into the top corner.

But it could have been a different story had keeper Gavin Ward not tipped a first-minute shot by managerless Chester's Chris Holroyd past the post.
