Wrexham have signed defender Scott Barron on a month's loan from Ipswich Town to aid their relegation battle.
Scott Barron has struggled to make Ipswich's first team this term
The left-sided player, 21, who can also operate in midfield, made 14 starts in the Championship for Ipswich last season but has not figured this term.
"Everyone I have talked to has nothing but good words to say about the club," Barron told the Wrexham website.
"If I can help and play my part in a revival of fortunes then I will be very happy to do do."
Ipswich manager Jim Magilton hinted that there was the possibility of Barron staying longer at the Racecourse Ground if things worked out.
"He's travelling down to Wrexham with a view to him staying there initially for a month and then taking it from there," Magilton told the Ipswich website.
"Scott has been in the first-team squad this season but has not had a chance and we need to get him games.
"It's been well documented the problems we have had with lack of reserve team matches this season and we need to see him playing competitive football so we can have a look at him."
Academy scholar Kieron Leabon is also heading to Wrexham and will spend a week training with the League Two club.
