Wrexham striker Lee McEvilly has left the club with immediate effect.
Wrexham striker Lee McEvilly has suffered a string of foot problems
McEvilly, who saw a move to Bradford fall through last summer after failing a medical, has been told he does not feature in the club's future plans.
The remaining year on the 25-year-old's contract has been cancelled by agreement and he is now a free agent.
"We would like to thank Lee for his efforts and wish him well in his future career," reads a statement on the Wrexham official club website.
McEvilly signed a new two-year deal last summer, going on to play 30 times for Wrexham last season after returning from a broken foot in November.
He scored eight goals, but Wrexham manager Brian Carey decided to put him on the transfer list last week, saying:
"Lee came to see me about the coming season and I told him I could not guarantee anyone a place in the side.
"As everyone can see we have a number of players competing for places, especially up front, which is something I want.
"I told Lee he was not directly in my plans and, while I understood his desire to be playing, then maybe the best course of action for both parties was to see if any other clubs might be interested in taking him on."
