Dibble out for rest of campaign
Wrexham goalkeeper Andy Dibble
Veteran Wrexham goalkeeper Andy Dibble's torn thigh muscle will rule him out for the rest of the season.

"It's very disappointing, as a Welshman it would've been great for him to be in Cardiff (at the LDV Vans final)," boss Denis Smith told the Daily Post.

On-loan Ben Foster (Stoke) has been deputising for Dibble and league-rookie Paul Harrison is also available.

Wrexham midfielder Jim Whitley is another out for the rest of the season as he undergoes a knee operation.

Dean Bennett, Alex Smith, Danny Williams and Mark Jones are on the road to recovery, though, with Jones expected to be available for Saturday's visit of Bournemouth.

  • Wrexham defender Craig Morgan has been left mystified by his red card in Wales Under-21's 2-0 loss in Austria.

"I still don't know what I got the red card for," said the youngster.

"It's the first time I have been sent off for Wales and the referee didn't even speak a word of English to be able to tell me what it was for.

"I jumped for the ball and we collided, that is about it. It was very unfortunate because were were doing really well in the match at that point."
