Wrexham wait on McGregor
Mark McGregor
Mark McGregor is believed to be in talks with two clubs
Wrexham manager Brian Flynn is hoping to hear from out-of-contract defender Mark McGregor some time soon.

The Chester-born player has been absent from training at the Racecourse Ground for the last two days.

McGregor was thought to have verbally agreed a new three-year deal with the Dragons but it now appears he may have changed his mind.

Flynn admitted that two First Division clubs have been showing an interest in McGregor, one of whom is believed to be Burnley.

While he waits on his stayaway defender, Flynn has moved to strengthen his squad for the coming season by taking three players on trial.

Swindon's Wales international midfielder Andy Williams, who has won three caps, Crystal Palace utility player Michael Fowler, and Blackburn striker Steve Foster are all having the eye cast over them at the Racecourse Ground.

Wrexham's only new signing so far is Northern Ireland international Shaun Holmes from Manchester City.
