Wolverhampton Wanderers release trio of squad players

Daniel Jones
Jones has been considering a return to loan club Bristol Rovers

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has decided not to extend the contracts of Mark Little, Daniel Jones and George Friend when they expire next month.

Full-back Little made the last of his 32 first-team appearances at Ipswich in October 2007.

Jones arrived at Molineux as a 10-year-old and played just 10 games in the senior ranks.

Friend arrived from Exeter in September 2008, the last of his eight games was at Manchester United in December.

All three players spent much of last season out on loan in the lower divisions, struggling to make an impact at Molineux following the club's promotion to the Premier League.
