Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake has signed a new four-year contract with the Midlands outfit.

The 23-year-old was the Championship's top scorer last season, netting 25 goals to help Wolves win promotion to the Premier League.

He has scored 37 league goals in 61 appearances since moving from Plymouth for £1.5m in January 2008.

"I'm delighted to have signed the contract but it was never in doubt," Ebanks-Blake told the club's website.

"I've loved every minute of my 18 months and hopefully the next four years are going to be just as happy."

Ebanks-Blake started his career with Manchester United and had a loan spell with Belgian side Royal Antwerp before Plymouth signed him for £200,000 in July 2006.

He made a big impact at Home Park and continued to find the net after his transfer to the Midlands.

"This is a reward to Sylvan for this outstanding goalscoring for the last two years," Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey told the club's website when the deal was agreed in June.

"We want him to feel absolutely magnificent going into the Premier League, where hopefully he can do exceptionally well.

"It's a big step up but he's really happy about being here and sees his long-term future here too, and we feel we have to act accordingly."
