Wolves midfielder Daniel Jones has agreed terms on a new two-year deal and then joined Oldham on a month's loan.

The 21-year-old is on the fringes of the Wolves' first-team and spent much of last season on loan at Northampton.

"I'm really pleased to be honest. Getting the contract all sorted means I can concentrate on my football," the youngster told the club website.

"The lads have made a fantastic start to the season which has left a lot of us trying to fight our way in."

I just want to play as many games as I can and continue to improve

Daniel Jones
Jones has made 11 senior appearances for Wolves, and can be used in the back four as well as in midfield.

"Going on loan did me a great deal of good last season and I just want to play as many games as I can and continue to improve," he said.

"But long-term I still see my future at Wolves and that is why I'm happy to have extended my time here."
