Wolves have beaten the transfer deadline to sign Colchester defender George Elokobi for an undisclosed fee.
The Cameroon-born left-back, who turned 22 on Thursday, has signed a two-and-a-half year contract.
Elokobi joined the U's in the summer of 2004 from non-league Dulwich Hamlet and has made 17 appearances this season.
He becomes the third permanent arrival at Molineux this month, following the signings of Sylvan Ebanks-Blake from Plymouth and Luton's David Edwards.
Wolves have also taken striker Kevin Kyle on loan from Coventry and extended the loan of Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson for the rest of the season.
