Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has named former Republic of Ireland defender Gary Breen as the club's new captain.
The 33-year-old played for Birmingham, Coventry, West Ham and McCarthy's Sunderland before joining Wolves before the start of last season.
"It's a fantastic honour to captain a club like Wolverhampton Wanderers," Breen told the club's website.
"We have a very young squad here and if ever they need advice or encouragement from me, then they will get it."
