Ince agrees Wolves move
Paul Ince
Wolves hope Ince will bolster their title ambitions
Paul Ince will sign a one-year contract with Wolves on Tuesday morning after agreeing to join the First Division club.

The 34-year-old, who left Middlesbrough this summer, will join former Manchester United team-mate Denis Irwin as boss Dave Jones attempts to build a squad capable of promotion.

"Like Denis Irwin, he is going to be a fantastic asset to the football club," Jones told the club's official website.

"It's no mean achievement to attract Denis and Paul to Wolves to add to the other big signings we made last season and credit to the board for backing us.

"Paul will add desire and drive to the team and he is a great addition to the squad."

Meanwhile, Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey has denied defender Ludo Pollet is on his way to Crystal Palace.

Reports over the weekend suggested the London club had their offer of 500,000 accepted for the 28-year-old Frenchman.

But Moxey denied the story, saying: "There has been no inquiry made for Ludo from Crystal Palace."

Pollet joined Wolves in 1999 from Le Havre but last season he was limited to just 29 appearances as he underwent a hernia operation and was later sidelined with facial injuries and a hamstring problem.
