Terras keeper Knowles joins Cards

Woking

Woking have signed goalkeeper Danny Knowles until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old was released from troubled Blue Square Premier rivals Weymouth, one of a host of players exiting the cash-strapped Dorset side.

Knowles, 23, will be the fifth keeper to represent the The Cards in the Blue Square Premier this season.

Ross Worner started the season, Lenny Pidgeley then took over before Nick Gindre. And the latest, on-loan Simon Eastwood has returned to Huddersfield.

Woking also signed teenager Carl Pentney on a one-month loan from League One Leicester City.

He played in their two FA Cup fourth qualifying round ties with Ebbsfleet in place of Millwall loanee Pidgeley, who was cup-tied.

Knowles looks set to make his debut in Tuesday night's league trip to Stevenage.
