Wigan boss Paul Jewell has been named Barclays Premiership Manager of the Month for the second time in a row.
Jewell clinched the October award thanks to Wigan's run of four victories, which took them to second in the Premiership.
The Latics have the best defence in the top flight, having conceded only five goals in 11 games.
David O'Leary is the only other manager to have won the award in consecutive months, when he was with Leeds in 2001.
Jewell's side were expected to struggle in the Premiership following promotion last season but have confounded expectations.
They are above the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal in the table and currently trail leaders Chelsea by six points.
