Wigan have completed their first signing since winning promotion to the Premiership with the capture of keeper Mike Pollitt from Rotherham United.
Pollitt joined Rotherham from Chesterfield in June 2001
The 33-year-old custodian has joined the Latics on a two-year deal for a fee believed to be about £200,000.
"I'm delighted to have completed this deal and I'm really looking forward to mixing it in the Premiership this season," Pollitt told their website.
"In John Filan they have a top class keeper but I'll fight for my place."
Pollitt started his career with Manchester United in 1988 after signing as an apprentice, but was never given a chance at Old Trafford.
