French striker Youssef Sofiane has had his West Ham contract terminated by mutual consent, the club has announced.
Sofiane failed to win a regular place at West Ham
The 21-year-old joined from Auxerre during the summer of 2002 but struggled to make an impact on the first team, only playing twice for the Hammers.
In his time at West Ham, he had loans at Lille, Notts County and Roda JC.
Despite playing in pre-season matches, he was not given a squad number this season and is now free to find a new club before the transfer window shuts.
