Hammers knock back Lampard bids
![]() Lampard could team up with Ferdinand
West Ham have rejected two offers of more than £10m apiece for midfielder Frank Lampard.
Lampard Jnr has seen his father Frank and uncle Harry Redknapp depart the club recently and he is also set on leaving Upton Park. But West Ham are determined to hold out for the right price. "We have just turned down a bid of £12m for Frank, which is the second offer in excess of £10m we have had for him this week," said managing director Paul Aldridge. "While we reluctantly accept that Frank wishes to leave, the price must be right. "We will be sticking by our valuation of a player who, we believe, will go on to be an England regular in the not too distant future." Lampard's former West Ham team-mate Rio Ferdinand joined Leeds earlier this year. And, along with Aston Villa and Chelsea, the Elland Road outfit is one of the club's rumoured to be interested in Lampard Jnr. But Leeds United chairman Peter Ridsdale has stated that he would not table a double figure bid for the England international.
