Hammers to sell Lampard
![]() Frank Lampard (c) could leave next week
England midfielder Frank Lampard could leave West Ham as early as next week, according to former manager Harry Redknapp.
Speaking on BBC Five Live, Redknapp said a number of clubs were interested in Lampard, who looks likely to be sold for in excess of £10m. Lampard's father, Frank senior, was released from the club alongside Redknapp and the young Hammer is thought to want to move on.
"Frank is my nephew and several clubs want him," Redknapp said. "I think Frank has decided he wants to play elsewhere now. His dad was my assistant and he was very unfairly dismissed in my opinion." Leeds and Aston Villa are just two big name clubs to have been linked with the player, who has been with the London club since he was a schoolboy. "They'll sell him for £10m, £12m or £14m," Redknapp added. "This was the chairman's decision at the end of the day. "They decided his father had to go and obviously his son is not happy with what has happened. "I think he feels he wants to go elsewhere and play and I'm sure young Frank will do that."
