Lampard Jr set to quit Hammers

Frank Lampard is poised to leave West Ham United - possibly for Leeds United or Spurs - because he feels "betrayed" by the departure of Harry Redknapp.

The England midfielder's agent Steve Kutner says Redknapp's resignation, and the decision of his father Frank - Redknapp's assistant - to leave, means Lampard is determined to leave Upton Park.

Kutner said: "Frank does not see how he can ever play for West Ham again.

"He has just seen his uncle Harry Redknapp and his father leave a club where they have spent a huge part of their lives and he is gutted.

"The circumstances surrounding it all have left a very bad taste in the mouth and Frank just doesn't want to know any more.

"As far as he is concerned, the sooner he is out of West Ham the better."

Lampard, who has been at Upton Park for nine years and has played over 160 games for the Hammers, signed a five-year deal at Upton Park last year on condition the club breaks with tradition and no longer sells its best players.

But his close friend Rio Ferdinand left the club in November when he joined the Elland Road club in an £18million deal.

And Kutner said: "For this now to happen is the final straw. Frank feels totally and utterly betrayed."

Leeds and Tottenham are being linked with summer moves for Lampard.
