West Brom line up Croatian test

West Bromwich Albion

West Brom's second opponents on their summer tour will be Croatian side Varteks Varazdin.

The Baggies will cross the border from their Slovenian base in Ptuj for the game on Saturday, 18 July.

Varteks' finest hour came when they eliminated Aston Villa from the Uefa Cup in September 2001.

They finished 10th in the Croatian First Division last season, thanks largely to 11 goals from midfield for Goran Mujanovic.

West Brom's other tour match is against Slovenian side NK Naftas on 15 July.
