Luyindula has scored more than 100 league goals in France's top flight
West Brom manager Tony Mowbray is pessimistic that a deal can be reached for Paris St Germain's France international Peguy Luyindula.
The 29-year-old striker was one of a number of January targets for the Premier League's bottom club.
"I would suggest nothing will happen with that one," said Mowbray, who may now settle for what he has up front.
"When I look at the strikers we have got in now, I am reasonably happy. There is half a door open for others."
Mowbray has been looking to add to his strikers during this transfer window and saw a deal for Benfica striker Ariza Makukula fall through on Thursday.
However, the club have completed the loan signing of 27-year-old Marc-Antoine Fortune from Nancy to boost a forward line that has netted only 17 goals in 21 top-flight games this term.
"I think we have lacked the cutting edge at the top of the pitch and let's hope the change around of a few in that department can spark the team into more goals," said Mowbray.
