West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Mowbray says he is expecting new signing Luke Moore to start producing his best now he has made his move permanent.

The 22-year-old has completed his 3m transfer from Aston Villa following a four-month loan spell at The Hawthorns.

And Mowbray is confident his new recruit will now flourish.

"I think Luke will be happy to start next season afresh. I'm sure he'll be looking forward to pushing his way into the team. That's how it will be."

Mowbray knows first hand what Moore has gone through in leaving his boyhood team.

He did the same when he moved from Middlesbrough to Celtic in 1991.

"It's a big, big decision but I think you know when it's the right time to move on," he told Albion's official website.

"You can become stale at the same place so this is a fresh challenge for Luke.

"He's still got to impress his team-mates, the management and the fans, but I'm sure he's up for the challenge."
