Liverpool goalkeeper Chris Kirkland has completed his loan move to West Brom after coming through a two-week trial.
Kirkland suffered a string of injuries at Liverpool
Kirkland, 24, joined Liverpool from Coventry four years ago for £6m, but injuries and Jerzy Dudek's form limited his first-team opportunities.
During his year-long loan Kirkland will have two other goalkeeping rivals - Russell Hoult and Tomasz Kuszczak.
"Chris got stiff competition here," West Brom assistant boss Nigel Pearson told the Albion website.
Pearson added: "I'm delighted for him because he's had a tough time with injuries and I know
what that can be like.
"He's desperate for a run of games but he'll have to fight hard to get
Kirkland's chances at Liverpool suffered a further setback with the arrivals of Scott Carson and Jose `Pepe' Reina.
