Robson confident Gera will stay
Zoltan Gera
Bryan Robson has insisted that Zoltan Gera will stay at West Brom even if they lose their Premiership status.

And the Baggies' boss said he would not let any players use relegation as an excuse to leave the Hawthorns.

"Zoltan Gera will be going nowhere - no matter what division we're in next season," said Robson.

"What I want is to add more Geras to the squad. Not let them go. Nobody will leave unless I say so. Nobody has any escape clause in their contract."

Robson said he was still upbeat about West Brom's chances of Premiership survival despite the club's precarious position, with the Baggies five points adrift of safety with 12 games to go.

And he said he took heart from the team's performance in Saturday's FA Cup loss to Tottenham.

"All weekend everyone in the game I've spoken to said to me 'How are you not winning games when you're playing like that?'," he said.

"That's the positive we have to take. The lads don't have to get disheartened. They've got to be encouraged by the way they played against a decent side like Tottenham."
