West Brom have signed teenage Mali midfielder Ibrahim Sissoko on a two-year scholarship.
The 17-year-old, younger brother of Liverpool's summer signing Momo, has joined from French side Troyes.
Baggies academy manager Dan Ashworth said: "We are delighted to get someone of Ibrahim's calibre.
"He has impressed since he came in and it's a great feather in the cap of the youth department that we're starting to attract this sort of player."
Ashworth added: "Other English, Spanish and French clubs were also chasing Ibrahim's signature.
"But he chose Albion because he thought it would be the best place for his development.
"He really enjoyed the training and feels his career can progress quickly here.
"We've got high hopes for him."
