West Brom have reached an agreement with former boss Gary Megson over the remainder of his Hawthorns contract.
Megson, who has been replaced as Baggies boss by Bryan Robson, had under eight months left on his deal and is now free to seek employment elsewhere.
Chairman Jeremy Peace said: "Both parties have moved as quickly as they possibly can to tie up the loose ends.
"We've reached an amicable agreement with Gary which means both he and the club can now move on."
Megson was sacked by Albion after he told Peace he would not stay when his contract was due to end in June.
He was put on gardening leave, meaning he would not be able to take up another post elsewhere, but is now free to continue his career.
Peace added: "We want to thank Gary for his hard work over the past four-and-a-half years which has helped the club create a platform for what we hope will be sustainable Premiership football.
"We wish Gary all the best in his future managerial career."
