Scimeca joins West Brom
Riccardo Scimeca
Leicester's Riccardo Scimeca has joined West Brom for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, has left the Foxes less than a year after joining them from Nottingham Forest on a free.

City boss Micky Adams explained: "Riccy had a clause in his contract that allowed him to speak to other clubs following our relegation.

"I have made public my desire to keep the player but he has opted to play in the Premiership with West Brom."

Scimeca is Baggies boss Gary Megson's first signing since guiding his team to promotion.

He has made no secret of the fact that his squad needs strengthening if they are to avoid instant relegation from the top flight again.
