West Brom land Gregan

Sean Gregan will complete his protracted 2m move from Preston to Premiership newcomers West Brom on Monday.

Gregan has passed a medical and agreed personal terms on a four-year deal.

"After several weeks of negotiations with Preston and the player's agent, Sean will become an Albion player on Monday," West Brom managing director Brendan Batson told the club's official website.

"He will be registered too late to play at Port Vale (on Sunday) but will spend the next two weeks getting ready for the big kick-off.

"We're very pleased to have him and I know for a fact he's looking forward to the challenge with Albion."

Preston chief executive Tony Scholes added: "Sean has gone to The Hawthorns this weekend and we believe he has agreed personal terms.

"As long as there are no last minute hiccups, we expect everything to be finalised on Monday."
